I'm finally back the the HELL-ISH 33rd Annual Kayaking Expidition.
104 NCC cadets kayaked a total of 100+ km and covered almost half of our sunny island in 3 days.
On the 1st day of the expidition, we kayaked from Sembawang Sea Training Centre to Changi Naval Base. Met with Cat 1 weather (thunder and rain) on our way there, and we were all drenched and shivering.
The second day was from Changi Naval Base to East Coast Park. We got towed by the safety boat as we were lagging like hell behind.
Ok, the third day was the day where most of us were totally shagged. Around 21 cadets fell out of the Expedition due to exhaustion. We kayaked back from CNB to Sembawang Sea Training Centre. On the way back, we were once again towed by the safety power boat because we were the last kayak. Another kayak was tied to our Stern (the back of the kayak), and when the powerboat made a sharp turn, water gushed into our kayaks and we capsized. While we were in the water, the kayak at the back ramped into my arm and into Edmund's neck. Fortunately the kayak didn't ramp into our heads or we would be knocked out COLD.
I'm proud to say Gary, Jing Kai, Edmund and Me managed to complete this god damned Expidition! We'll be getting our GOLD badges and certs! The bad news is that NCC takes a fucking long time to send stuff to our school, probably because we are Zhonghua.
All in all, we had to go through 2 Prep Trainings, 2 Days of MKE & 4 Days of AKE to get that piece of metal.
But I gained invaluable experiences during this AKE which was worth it.
Alright, I'm going to HQ for the NCC Day Parade rehearsal now ALONE, since somebody is too lazy to get his ass there.
