I wonder why must we study chem, it's not like everyone wants, or can be a doctor or a scientist right?! So, why cant we choose not to study chem?! Do you go into the supermarket and start using chemical names to start shopping?
Something like, 'Excuse me, I need sodium nitrate for cooking... some citric acid for drinking and a bottle of ammonia for cleaning the window, plus some sodium hydroxide for cleaning the toilet, Oh yah! magnesium hydroxide for brushing my teeth too.' The staff there will probably stare at you like you're some kind of retard, and give u a slap..
